Post 164. Double Standards?

Standard

If a movie isn’t good for my children, what makes it good for me?

What makes an adult movie, an adult movie?

When did I become old enough for violence, foul language and sex scenes?

When did I “come of age?”

If I watch and they can’t,

Am I communicating that there is a different standard?

A standard for me and another one for them?

What am I telling them?

“I can handle it but you can’t

But one day you will

One day you will be old enough

One day you will open your eyes, ears and head

Like a garbage can

And let all that crap in

Just like me.”

Now THAT’S something to look forward to.
